whether you’re watching for the chiefs, the eagles, the commercials, or just there for the snacks, there’s bound to be something entertaining for everyone. for me, thats the food.
in all seriousness, I actually really enjoy watching football, so I’m excited for the game. however, i’m still more excited for all of the game day foods. wings, chips, dip, nachos, finger foods, etc etc.
below is a roundup of my favorite recipes that are perfect for the big game!
garlic parmesan chicken wings
literally the best wings ever
Ingredients:
~10 chicken wings
8-10 cloves of garlic, confited
3 tbsp softened salted butter
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Salt
Onion Powder (optional)
A dash of vegetable oil
1/2 cup (roughly) Parmigiano reggiano cheese, grated.
Chopped parsley
Instructions:
Make the confit garlic if needed (cook submerged in oil on a low temperature until soft & jammy)
Pat chicken wings completely dry.
Add them to a bowl with salt, onion powder, and vegetable oil. Toss to combine.
Lay wings on a wire rack lined sheet tray, skin side up.
Roast in oven at 400ºF for 25-30 minutes, or until golden.
In a separate bowl, mash the confit garlic into a paste with about 1-2 tablespoons of the garlic cooking oil.
Add softened butter, a pinch of salt, and lemon juice. Stir to combine.
Add cheese incrementally, stirring and tasting periodically.
Once the sauce is to your liking, add the cooked wings to the bowl and toss to coat
Add more cheese to the wings, along with about 1/2 of the chopped parsley. Stir again.
Serve wings on a platter or bowl, adding any excess sauce to the pile of wings.
garnish with a bit more cheese and the remaining parsley.

store-bought hummus that doesn’t taste store-bought
There’s nothing wrong with using store bought dips! but, lets fancy them up a little so that they don’t look or taste store bought.
buy a hummus you like or that looks good. when you get home, empty it into a mixing bowl.
squeeze in fresh lemon juice, add more salt, and drizzle some olive oil. you could also add in some spices like cumin or paprika if you choose.
vigorously whisk until the hummus looks smooth. Taste and adjust. serve in a bowl, drizzle olive oil on the top, and add a garnish such as sesame seeds, fresh herbs, or flaky salt!
