do you remember? the 21st night of september

hey hey! happy September! this is my monthly update newsletter. It’ll include what’s in and what’s out for September, life updates, and eats & deets.

im going to let you in on a little secret: this is my favorite newsletter to write :)

there are only 4 months left until 2024, which is… scary. i’m personally a bit overwhelmed by how fast things are going, and it’s only going to get faster from here until the end of the year.

okay hereeeeeee we go

state of the union: September

life updates:

“not a lot going on at the moment!” - me, when i’m lying.

there’s a lot going on at the moment actually! I am actively planning out my multiple upcoming travels to London next month, Australia the following month, then my biiiig Asia trip at the end of the year. as it turns out, planning things is actually a lot of work! who knew!

my plan is to thoroughly document my travels, mostly through YouTube vlogs, so if you’d like to follow along, go ahead and subscribe to my YouTube channel :) also, i’ll make full travel guides for each destination that my paid substack subscribers will get access to! So if you haven’t already:

photos from the past month!

as I mentioned last month, August started off by attending my friend’s wedding in my hometown, Beaufort, SC. I vlogged the whole thing and it was so fun! we made friends with the bartender, Ricky, and Ricky did in fact pour heavily.

I’m still running, too! albeit very slowly, but running nonetheless. in August, I ran a 5k and a 10k race. the 5k was my fastest yet! this month, I only have one race, and its 10 miles. (pray for me LOL).

finally, on Tuesday I start my third semester at NYU. if you don’t know, I’m in graduate school for Food Studies at NYU. its super interesting and it always sparks some inspiration for me, so i’m sure you’ll hear more about this.

eats & deets

what i’m currently cooking & looking forward to cooking! 🍅🥒🍤🌽🍑🫐🍓🫛🧈🍔
